Is the training accredited?
Yes. The AI training for teachers is accredited by the Hessian Teacher Academy under section 65 of the Hessian Teacher Education Act (offer number 02618351) and listed in the event catalogue at akkreditierung.hessen.de. Each participant receives a certificate of attendance for 0.5 training days.
Does our school have to train teachers in AI?
Under Article 4 of the AI Act, anyone who uses AI must take measures that promote the AI literacy of their own staff and of everyone who uses AI on their behalf. This also applies to schools and education providers. No specific course is required, and teacher training is an obvious measure.
Is a shorter version possible?
Yes, as a 90-minute talk for a staff or team meeting, on site or online. Only the four-hour training is accredited. For the talk, participants receive a confirmation of attendance from lindenbrook, but no certificate of training days.
Do teachers need prior knowledge?
No. The training starts with the basics and works with the material your teachers already use.
How does this fit with the training offered by the Hessian Teacher Academy?
It complements it. The Teacher Academy and the media centres offer the basics and an introduction to the state's AI tool in the school portal. The lindenbrook training works with your staff's own material, with task formats that make independent work visible, and with shared rules for your school. It does not replace the certificate of competence for the state tool. The training is accredited by the Hessian Teacher Academy.
Is there proof of attendance?
Yes. After the four-hour training, each person receives a certificate of attendance for 0.5 training days. It also documents the measures taken at your institution. After the shorter talk, there is a confirmation of attendance.
How large can the group be?
Up to 30 people per session, so everyone can try things out. We split larger teaching staffs into several groups.
Does the training take place on site or online?
Both are possible. lindenbrook works across Germany and is based in Oberursel near Frankfurt am Main.
In which language is the teacher training held?
In German or English, whichever suits your staff.
What does the teacher training cost?
You receive a fixed-price offer for your teaching staff. For this we need the number of participants, the preferred format and the venue.
